Prescriptions
Written prescriptions are provided on anti-copy paper with labels for authentication. Original paper copies must be physically sent to your chosen retailer, as scanned copies are not valid.
Prescription only medicines can only be prescribed for animals under our care. Our policy is to examine every animal before issuing a new prescription, and repeat prescriptions usually require a consultation so that your pet can be re-examined, weighed and reviewed. The standard charge for such a re-examination is the current consultation fee and is not included in the prescription charges below.
| Prescription service | Fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Written prescription paper copy | £21.60 | Per item |
| Written prescription paper copy | £25.80 | Two items of the same medicine |
| Written prescription paper copy – controlled medication | £28.20 | Per item |
Travel & Certificates
We currently have one official veterinarian able to provide certification services for our registered clients only. Travel documents often require advance planning, paperwork and strict compliance with current rules.
For Animal Health Certificates, we ask clients to return a pre-certificate questionnaire for review. A minimum of 4 weeks is normally required, including rabies vaccination where needed. Payment for the certificate is taken at the time of booking and is non-refundable. Changes to dates or certificate details, including additional pets, may incur extra charges.
| Certificate service | Fee | Notes |

Some export certificates can involve over 6 months of planning, official testing and strict requirements. Please contact us well in advance if you are planning to travel.

Neutering Surgeries
Neutering surgeries are performed under general anaesthetic and monitored by our veterinary nurses. These fees apply to routine preventative neutering only. More complex procedures, including retained testicles, pregnancy, uterine infection or lactation, will incur additional charges and a separate estimate will be provided after examination.
Our routine neutering prices include the usual anaesthetic and surgical care appropriate to the procedure, together with post-operative support and nurse follow-up checks. Additional medication, wound repair or unexpected treatment needs may incur further charges.

Because pets cannot safely cooperate in the same way as human patients, general anaesthesia is required for full assessment and treatment.
We can often provide a more accurate estimate after examining your pet beforehand, but final costs can vary depending on the extent of dental disease and any extractions required on the day.
